As expected, UCLA announced Friday that it will play a majority of its home games next season at the Sports Arena while Pauley Pavilion is renovated.

The Bruins will play 14 games at the Sports Arena, four at the Honda Center in Anaheim and an exhibition game against an opponent to be determined at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. UCLA will also hold a closed scrimmage against a Division I opponent.

In a twist, UCLA’s game in the Wooden Classic at the Honda Center will be against Arizona on Jan. 5. It will be the first time the Bruins will have played a Pacific 12 Conference opponent as part of the event. UCLA will also play games at the Honda Center against Penn on Dec. 10, UC Davis on Dec. 17 and Arizona State on Jan. 7.

UCLA’s ‘home’ game against USC on Feb. 15 will be at the Sports Arena, which is less than a mile from the Trojans’ campus but about 15 miles from Westwood.

Bruins officials said they are ‘researching’ round-trip busing to all venues for season ticket-holders and will offer students complimentary busing in an arrangement similar to that for football games at the Rose Bowl.

Season-ticket renewals will be sent in the next seven to 10 days.
