Gud news 4 U: Your boss can’t read your texts, court says

It’s time to breathe a deep sigh of relief -- the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled today that your boss can’t read your nasty text messages about him or her unless you give the OK. That is, of course, unless you send a nasty text message about your boss to your boss.

It may make you LOL, or even ROTFL, that judges would rule on such an issue. But Ontario Police Sgt. Jeff Quon sued the city’s service provider, Arch Wireless, as well as the city and the Police Department after his superiors obtained transcripts of his text messages and read them.
