Tech entrepreneurs start their own fashion lines

Entrepreneurs are not known to be the most stylish of humans. All those 16-hour work days and time spent hunched over a computer tend to make them less interested in that new series of Hugo Boss clothes and more interested in securing Series B funding.

But some tech entrepreneurs are taking their cash and know-how and starting their own clothing lines starting their own clothing lines and fashion-related business in Southern California. It’s a stranger venture than techies starting their own vodka companies or restaurants: They may know a lot about eating and drinking, but what do they know about designing clothes and selling them?

More than you’d expect, as it turns out. Which begs the question: If Silicon Valley is truly a ‘Once You’re Lucky, Twice You’re Good’ kind of place, what are you when you make it for the third time -- in fashion?
