Even while Black Friday is in full swing, many retailers are looking ahead to another big shopping day for bargain-hunters: Cyber Monday.
Thankfully for consumers there are no long lines or pushy salespeople on the Internet. And tech deals are everywhere.
Cyber Monday is expected to be bigger than ever and discounts are going to be more widespread and more aggressive, according to the National Retail Federation. The group said 88% of retailers will have a special promotion for Cyber Monday this year. That’s up from 72% three years ago.
Staples, the office supply retailer, is actually making Cyber Monday a two-day event. Starting Sunday, the company will offer deals on various products, such as TomTom’s portable GPS and Western Digital Elements’ external hard drive.
The GPS unit will sell for about $80, instead of $200. The hard drive will be more than half off, too, selling at $70 rather than $160.
Online retailer Overstock.com says it will be offering deals on flat-screen TVs, Blu-ray players and DVDs.
