Verizon Wireless ended its New Every Two program this weekend, axing a perk that gave customers discounts on new cellphones every two years.
The deal gave current subscribers $30 to $100 toward a new phone when they renewed their two-year contract with Verizon.
The cancellation of the program, which happened on Sunday, was confirmed by Verizon officials to SmartMoney.
Customers that were already eligible for the New Every Two discount can take advantage of the promotion one final time, for any phone -- even the iPhone 4 -- if they sign up for another two-year contract.
Verizon will begin selling its version of Apple’s iPhone 4 on Feb. 10, starting at $199.
