Detrick Ford, 20, a black man, was shot and killed by Los Angeles police officers from Southeast Division early this morning, Wednesday, June 13, about 12:40 a.m. Police said patrol officers answering a radio call of domestic violence confronted Ford, who charged them with a 10-inch knife. Officer Gilbert Padilla fired his gun and killed Ford.
