Man killed by officer, El Sereno

El Sereno: A man was shot and killed by a Los Angeles police officer in the 5200 block of Huntington Drive about 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, after he choked the officer’s partner, police said.

Officers said they got a call of a family dispute and were confronted by the man, who fought with one of the officers. The officer was hospitalized and in stable condition that evening.
