Fabian Mecina, a 15-year-old Latino youth, was shot at the intersection of Beach Street and Eucalyptus Avenue in Inglewood at about 3.52 p.m Wednesday, Jan. 9. Mecina was walking on the sidewalk when a suspect approached him from behind and shot him with a shotgun. The suspect ran to a dark vehicle awaiting at a nearby parking lot and drove west on Beach Avenue.
