Judy Sobel, 62-year-old white woman, was allegedly shot by her husband in a murder-suicide in the 13400 block of Cumpston Street in Van Nuys about 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 18. According to Police spokeswoman Kate Lopez, officers from LAPD’s Van Nuys Division were responding to a welfare check when they found the bodies of Sobel and her husband. ‘It appears the husband may have shot his wife then himself,’ Lopez said.
