Arleta: man found dead

A young Latino man was found dead in the 9100 block of Bartee Avenue in Arleta shortly after midnight Saturday, June 7. The man was pronouced dead at the scene by paradmeics.

According to police spokeswoman Norma Eisenman, officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division responded to a radio call of a death investigation. Upon arrival, the officers found the body of a man with multiple wounds. Police were unable to confirm whether the man had been stabbed or shot. Earlier reports indicated that the man may have been beaten to death and that he was found in a trash bag. Police said the man’s body may have been dumped at the location.
