Steveland Mouten, 21, a black man, was killed in a drive-by shooting at 1217 W. 90th Place in South Los Angeles about 5:55 p.m. Friday, June 6.

According to L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Mouten was standing outside when a white vehicle drove by. Three black men inside the vehicle opened fire, hitting Mouten several times in the upper torso. Mouten was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to authorities, the gunmen were seen driving west on 90th Place, then north on Normandie Avenue. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact L.A.
