Monica Reynoso, 29, a Latina woman, was fatally stabbed during a domestic dispute at 3277 E. Cesar Chavez Ave. in Boyle Heights at about 8:10 p.m. Thursday, June 12. According to the L.A. County Coroner, Reynoso’s time of death is listed as 9:01 p.m. that day. Reynoso was stabbed outside Moctezuma Cafe, a bar and restaurant.

Det. D.W. Fields of LAPD’s Hollenbeck Division said Reynoso was inside the bar when her boyfriend confronted her. Jose Rodriguez, 37, took Reynoso outside the bar and began arguing. He then stabbed her, Fields said. Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of Reynoso’s death.
