South Los Angeles: Unidentified man is fatally shot

Authorities are investigating the early morning shooting death of a man at a party in South Los Angeles.

Deputies responding to reports of shots fired in the 8200 block of Croesus Avenue at 2:57 a.m. found the man, whose name had not been released this morning, lying in the driveway of the home where he had attended the party, said Deputy Art Spencer.

The man had been shot multiple times in his upper torso, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene, Spencer said.

No suspect description was available this morning, and sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating, Spencer said. Anyone with information can reach detectives at (323) 890-5500.
