Jonathan Miranda, a 27-year-old Latino, was shot multiple times while driving his car just south of the Los Angeles River in Chinatown about 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, 2008.

After getting a report of shots fired in the area, Los Angeles police found Miranda, of Lincoln Heights, alone in a 1985 white Crown Victoria that had crashed into a street sign in the 100 block of West Wilhardt Street.
