Police went to the scene about 7:15 p.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots, said Officer Karen Smith of the Los Angeles Police Department. Hanna had been shot several times, Smith said.

A witness told police she saw a man standing next to Hanna’s car shortly before hearing gunfire, said LAPD Officer Sam Park. A motive for the shooting has not been determined.
