Westlake: Man, 53, dies from head trauma

Juan Garcia, a 53-year-old Latino, possibly died from head trauma on Thursday, March 12, 2009, at James M. Wood Boulevard and Alvarado Street in the Westlake district, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Garcia was found with a large cinder block on his face, his pants and shoes removed, and his underwear around his knees, in an area where homeless people tend to camp, officials said.
