Long Beach: Deandre Wynn, 19

Deandre Wynn, a 19-year-old black man, was shot several times Wednesday, April 29, in the 1100 block of East South Street in Long Beach, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Wynn was hit by gunfire while standing with a group of people in an alley behind an apartment complex about 12:30 p.m. An unknown person started shooting into the group, according to Long Beach police. Wynn was taken by paramedics to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center where he died a short time later.

A 21-year old man also was injured in the shooting. The man’s family members took him to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Police consider the shooting possibly gang related. Anyone with information about this killing is asked to call Long Beach Police Department Dets. Russ Moss and Teri Hubert at 562-570-7244.
