Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign just doesn’t seem to miss a beat.

The first debate of Republican presidential candidates to include Fred Thompson may be the dominant political event in the old media today, but the Clintonistas are up with a new YouTube video likely to get a fair amount of attention among those who spend their time surfing the Net.

The spot stars Rob Reiner, parodying his real-life vocation of film director. Reiner, of course, recently made a splash with his decision to endorse Clinton. We doubt this video is going to win or lose the candidate any votes, but it’s a mildly amusing diversion.

The Clinton campaign, in case you haven’t noticed, is making a habit of muscling its way into the news on days when the story line seems to be elsewhere. Last week, it released the news that it had edged out Barack Obama in third-quarter fundraising on the same day the senator from Illinois was delivering a major foreign policy address.
