Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty -- who has frequently been mentioned as a possible running mate for John McCain -- abruptly canceled his afternoon interviews with reporters in Denver today.
Pawlenty, a loyal McCain surrogate, has spent the last several days in the Mile High City defending the Arizona senator against the Democratic attacks.

Stay tuned.
