Timing was everything when it came to naming Sarah Palin as John McCain‘s running mate on the GOP ticket, according to campaign manager Steve Schmidt. At the Republican National Convention, Schmidt explained the decision to wait until the Democratic convention ended to release the news. The Ticket’s Andrew Malcolm was there to catch Schmidt’s remarks on video.
