Opinion: Obama’s spending under the guise of recovery: A retrospective view

And, frankly, we don’t either. That’s part of the great fun of blogging and reading them. Anyway, this week we start off with a cartoon sent by a loyal Ticket reader.

It happens to be from the Chicago Tribune, which was not our parent company at the publication of this cartoon complaint about a new Democratic president in difficult economic times overspending the nation’s resources -- in 1934.

Our loyal reader’s comment, ‘So what’s changed?’

And we’d have to reply, ‘Not much. And everything.’

It made us think a bit about the 75 years since this was drawn. Gee, has it been that long?
