Girls volleyball, and Laguna Beach’s expectations

Powers Laguna Beach and Corona del Mar are ranked 1-2 in Division II-AA in the Southern Section rankings for girls’ volleyball. According to the Register, it looks like it should be another good year for the Breakers, who nearly won the state title a year ago.

It should also be a good year for several OC teams who find themselves among the more highly-regarded programs in the Southland. Although ranked behind Redondo and Mira Costa in Division I-AA, Los Alamitos, Santa Margarita and Esperanza are Nos. 3-4-5.
