Coach Paul Knox was hoping for some good news Monday regarding Dorsey’s two-way lineman Marcus Mullins, who’s been missing in action since rolling his right ankle in practice before the season started.

But Mullins, a junior, is still recovering and, in all probability, will miss Friday’s game against visiting Santa Margarita.

‘I’m beginning to think we won’t have Marcus now until the Birmingham game,’ Knox said, referring to the Sept. 28 nonleague contest against the visiting Patriots.

Despite carrying only 202 pounds on his 6-foot-4 frame, Mullins is considered one of the Dons’ best blockers. And his quickness makes him difficult to stop when switches to defensive end.
