Canyon Coach DiLuigi loses his cool

After St. Bonny’s Darrell Scott scored his second TD of the night on a nine-yard run to tie the score at 14-14, a visibly irritated John DiLuigi, Canyon’s defensive coordinator, broke his headset in frustration. Apparently, he disagreed with some aspect of Coach Chris Varner’s strategy and he let him know about it with some language his mother definitely wouldn’t have approved of. After a quick shouting session with his defense, he quickly returned to his normal coaching self – and he had a new headset.

But I could see why DiLuigi was so frustrated as Scott practically trotted into the end zone without a Canyon player touching him. Canyon’s defense is better than that.
