Corona Centennial took advantage of a piling-on penalty to keep a second-quarter drive alive and the Huskies scored four plays later on a one-yard run by quarterback Matt Scott.

Crespi finally got a decent drive going and 6-foot-7 tight end Joseph Fauria kept it alive with a 26-yard reception on fourth-and-long to the Centennial two-yard line. E.J. Woods played sparingly on offense in the first half, but he came in to score on a two-yard plunge.

Unlike the Huskies, Crespi made its point-after kick and leads, 7-6, at the half.

Centennial needs to improve its downfield pass coverage and Crespi sophomore quarterback Bryan Bennett needs to find his passing touch.
