Girls’ volleyball: Griffins win by skin of their teeth

It seems as if Los Alamitos has won just about everything in girls’ volleyball, and the Griffins added the Dave Mohs Tournament title as they fended off match point to come from behind to beat Harvard Westlake in the three-game Division I final Monday night at Edison High.

The Griffins, No. 3 this week in Division I-AA in the Southern Section rankings, scored the final four points of the match to win Game 3, 16-14.

But you didn’t have to win the tournament in order to have a great weekend. Just ask Rosary in The Register’s Tuesday notes.
