The expected consequences of Dave Serrano resigning as baseball coach at UC Irvine to take over at Cal State Fullerton have begun.

Carlos Lopez, a second baseman at Crespi who had committed more than a year ago to Irvine, said he will now sign with Fullerton. He is likely the first of more Serrano recruits following him north across Orange County.
