Before the start of the St. Bonny-Oaks Christian game, I was standing in the back of a small, wooden press box when a guy walks in through the door behind me and presents to me what looks to be some kind of silver-wrapped delicacy. With a kind ‘here ya go’ he places the tri-tip sandwich in my hand and disappears out the door.

After the guys in the press box told me it’s the best tri-tip around, I took a bite and realized it was one of best things I’d ever eaten at a sporting event. I rushed out the press box door trying to find the St. Bonny sandwich man and, after about 10 minutes of searching, I found him.

For the last seven years, Todd Fenwick has been making steak sandwiches at every St. Bonny home game. ‘It’s a way for me to give something back,’ said Fenwick, who isn’t planning on stopping anytime soon.

Game update: All-everything RB Darrell Scott has three TDs to help push St. Bonny to a 25-0 lead over Oaks Christian in the second quarter.

Editor Bob: I’ll expect one of those sandwiches on my desk Monday morning.
