Highland’s Jeremy Acosta won the Division I race at the Bell-Jeff Invitational on Saturday, breaking the 21-year-old Griffith Park cross-country course record in a time of 14 minutes 8 seconds. According to the Daily News, Acosta’s time broke the old record by two seconds and it was his fourth win of the season. I guess its safe to say this guy looks like he’s a shoe-in for the Golden League title.

Sadee Martinez of Burroughs won the girls’ race in 18:37, beating out Highland freshman Caylie Choate on trails damaged by last spring’s wildfire.
