Troy edges Diamond Bar, 42-38

Running back Derrick Coleman Jr. caught a nine-yard pass with 34 seconds left to give host Troy a 42-38 come-from-behind victory over Diamond Bar. The Warriors improved to 4-0, while the Brahmas fell to 3-1.

Coleman, who is headed to UCLA next year, finished with thee touchdowns -- one rushing, two receiving. He rushed for 153 yards and had TD catches of 45 and nine yards from QB Tyler Swaney.

Troy played OK, not great by any stretch of the imagination. If they plan on beating La Harba in two weeks they need to play much, much, much better. Especially on defense where they seemed to forget the basic rule of wraping up while tackling.

Diamond Bar had a couple of standout players. Running back Uchenna Kpaduwa rushed 18 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Kyle Warren had three receptions for 116 yards and two touchdowns, inlcuding that nice 81-yard bomb right before halftime.
