Scott not going on recruiting trip this weekend

I had a nice pregame talk with St. Bonaventure offensive line coach Roger Sonsini and he told me RB Darrell Scott will not be making a previously-scheduled recruiting trip to the University of Florida this weekend.

‘We just have too many things going on, so we decided to cancel the trip’ said Sonsini, who’s had the difficult task of assisting Scott through the recruiting process. ‘The SATs are next Saturday and we wanted him to focus on that.’

Earlier today I blogged Scout.com reported he was going on a recruiting trip this weekend. Even though his trip to Gainesville has been canceled (or postponed, rather), Scott continues to draw accolades from the media.

Just today, Scott was named the top high school running back in the country by Sports Illustrated’s TAKKLE.com. He is being recruiting by a ton of schools, including UCLA, USC, LSU, Michigan, Florida St. and Colorado.

Oh, and one more thing: Tonight’s game between St. Bonny and Crespi starts at 7 p.m., not 7:30 like I blogged yesterday.
