Girls’ volleyball: Capo Valley wins at home -- finally

Capistrano Valley may have been host of the annual Cougar Classic, but it wasn’t until Saturday that the school won its own tournament with a sweep of Mission Viejo thanks to the play of Hannah Worley and Lauren Bergold.

This week, Capo Valley begins South Coast League play as teams begin focusing in earnest on winning league titles.

But not everything revolves around league. On Friday, Mira Costa and Los Alamitos -- ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in the Southern Section Division I-AA rankings -- are among those vying for the championship of the Las Vegas (Nev.) Durango Fall Classic.
