This week offers some pretty interesting matchups. None more interesting, however, than San Dimas vs. Bonita in something called the Smudge Pot game -- I wonder if that translates to volleyball fight? -- or Diamond Ranch vs Oaks Christian.

I’ll be writing more about those two games, and the others in the area, in the days to come.

But right now, I have a question for you: Who is the best RB in the SGV?

Is it Los Altos’ Bryce Mahmud-McBride? San Dimas’ Nico Barbone? Charter Oak’s Kaanan Snowden? St. Francis’ Deitrich Riley? Duarte’s Chris Harris? Alhambra’s Shawn ‘Dushine’ Smith or Anthony Brown? Or someone else? Let me know what you think.

Here’s my top 10 teams in the SGV this week.

1. Diamond Ranch (3-1)...Being No. 1 in the SGV is more like a kiss of death.2. Charter Oak (2-1-1)...No Snowden? No loss? Good week if you ask me.3. Glendora (3-1)...Faces tough test this week against El Dorado (3-1). 4. Arcadia (4-0, 1-0))...Muir and Burroughs stand in path of undefeated season.5. St. Francis (3-1)…Huge win again, up next is toughest stretch in its schedule.6. Los Altos (3-1)…Angry Conqs should “devour” Western.7. Damien (2-2-1)…Spartans limp into bye week, must get ready for Glendora.8. South Hills (2-2)…Huskies are at .500, will they go up or down?9. San Dimas (4-0)…RB Nico Barbone has scored 11 of team’s 21 TDs.10. Alhambra (4-0)...Moors look unbeatable right now. Other: Duarte (4-1)
