This might be the worst-kept secret since Fred Thompson announced his latest career change.

Representatives for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl will be at Rancho Verde High in Moreno Valley on Monday to announce the selection of a yet-to-be-identified football player to their postseason bowl game in San Antonio, Texas.

Off the top of my head, one really big name jumps out at me, but I don’t want to ruin the surprise, so if you don’t want to know, don’t click the link.

Just a little helpful hint for bowl organizers making the trip. Maybe the Army brass can work something out with the Air Force and get you guys flown into nearby March Air Force Base. That’d be a lot quicker than driving to Rancho Verde, which is located, well, about 20 minutes from the nearest freeway.

Either that, or parachutes.
