This is one of those days I wish I would have invested in a FastTrak pass. I left the city of Orange at 5 p.m., destined for Chaparral High, which is hosting Riverside North in a matchup of top 25 teams.

Unfortunately, I’ve been on the road for an hour and still haven’t made it out of Orange County.
I’d listen to a traffic report, but I’m not sure how that’d help at this moment. Besides, I’m listening to the Angels game (I smell another three-n-out).

If I ever make it to Chaparral, I anticipate a pretty even game, though I predict North will win by 10-14 points. Chaparral had an impressive victory last week over Corona Santiago’s top-notch defense, scoring as many points against the Sharks as Servite did earlier this season.

The player to watch for Chaparral is quarterback Tyler Hansen, who has committed to Colorado.

See you there, eventually.
