Tennis standout picks Stanford

One of the nation’s top tennis players, Ryan Thacher of North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake, is headed to Stanford.

He made his decision after the Cardinal upset then-No. 1 USC at the Coliseum on Saturday.

He chose Stanford over Duke and UCLA, saying that a big part of his decision was to leave the Southland in an attempt to enjoy the college experience away from home.
