Norco surged into the lead with two touchdowns in the first five minutes of the second half, the second set up by a bad snap over the head of Santiago sophomore quarterback Brandon Connette and recovered by the Cougars inside Santiago’s five-yard line.

The Sharks came back to tie the score, 21-21, on B.J. Iverson’s one-yard touchdown run with 32 seconds left in the third quarter.

Lots of penalty flags flying tonight and the Norco fans sound as if they’re ready to charge the field.

The Corona Centennial freshman coach is here and he just told me the varsity Huskies were winning, 38-0, at Valley View.

Like me, he obviously knew Santiago is the place to be tonight.
