A Barner-burner torches Laguna Beach

My favorite quote of the weekend came from the coach at Riverside Notre Dame, which beat Laguna Beach, 35-0. And let me say that this is the first time my favorite anything has come from Riverside Notre Dame.

After running back Kenjon Barner rushed 29 times for 369 yards and five touchdowns, Coach Pat Thompson said: “We saw [Laguna Beach] on film and we figured we could run on them. And Kenjon, to be honest, he can run on anybody.”

Barner has rushed for 243.2 yards a game, and has scored 19 touchdowns. He is averaging 334 all-purpose yards. And he’s a headline writer’s dream.
