Things are starting to shake out in the Marine League. But nothing is definite.

Carson (5-2, 2-0), with Dominique Blackman, pictured left, back at quarterback, has won four straight after edging San Pedro on Friday, 18-16. The Colts should beat their next opponents, Washington and Gardena, and give Carson four league victories before facing arch-rival Banning on Nov. 8.

San Pedro (6-1, 1-1) and Narbonne (6-1, 1-1) play on Friday. A second league defeat probably ends any chance the losing team will get a share of the league title. Banning (6-1, 1-1), which lost to Narbonne on Friday, still has to play San Pedro the week before the Carson game.

Washington (4-3, 1-1) and Gardena (0-7, 0-2) are currently reduced to spoiler roles. The Generals have the talent, at least on offense, to mess up someone’s plans. That should not be lost on Carson, which travels to Washington on Friday.
