It took awhile to find some parking around Notre Dame High School on Friday night, but I guess you have to expect that when Loyola comes over to Riverside and Woodman. After a nice four-block trek to the stadium, I was early enough to catch the entire second half of the junior varsity game.

Which was odd because I wasn’t that early. But then Notre Dame Varsity Coach Kevin Rooney told me a Loyola player was injured and had to be taken away by ambulance, thereby delaying the game. The player is expected to be OK, but the whole incident meant the JV game wasn’t finished until after 7 p.m.

As a result, Rooney told me the start of the varsity game would probably have to be pushed back to 7:45 p.m.

So, it looks like this one won’t be over until close to 11 p.m. because the Notre Dame homecoming activities are going to add a good chunk of time to how long this one runs.

Stay tuned to your computer for more updates.
