San Gabriel Valley League moves games to Monday

The San Gabriel Valley League has joined the Monday Night Football madness going on in the wake of this week’s fires and smoke warnings.

Dominguez will play at Paramount, Lynwood at Downey and Warren at Gahr -- all at 7 p.m. Monday.

‘I guess I’m going to have to be OK with it,’ said Keith Donerson, co-coach at Dominguez (5-2, 2-0), the No. 16 team in The Times’ rankings. ‘We just told the kids and they were upset, of course.’

I’d say they’re probably not alone in their feelings, judging by the number of schools that will be playing on a school night.
