... unfortunately.

The Giants (0-8, 0-3) lost, 40-21, to Covina (5-3, 2-1) in a Valle Vista League game Friday night to tie the state record for consecutive losses with 46. Ganesha has had two wins via forfeit since 2003, but none on the playing field during this stretch.

The mark was originally set by Moorpark during the 1977-82 seasons.

The 21 points scored by Ganesha was the best offensive output by the team this season (the Giants had only scored 14 points total heading into the game).

Ganesha will try to avoid breaking the record when its hosts San Dimas (6-1, 1-1) next week.
