Just when it looked like Ayala wasn’t going anywhere on offense, the Bulldogs bit back with a 65-yard scoring pass from quarterback Matt Baca to all-purpose back Arthur Forrest with 5:54 remaining in the first half against visiting Chino Hills, cutting the deficit to 10-6 at the half.

Before that play, Ayala had produced only one first down and had not moved the ball past midfield.
Forrest and Baca hooked up for an 80-yard score late against Damien in Ayala’s last game Damien. The touchdown sparked a 20-point fourth-quarter comeback in the 34-33 victory, including two touchdowns in the final 27 seconds.

Chino Hills is playing without running back Michael Harris, the league’s leading rusher who left the Huskies’ last game against Glendora with a leg injury and has not returned. Chino Hills is trying a running-game-by-committee attack and Wade O’Neill scored the Bulldogs’ only touchdown on a five-yard run early in the second quarter. That drive was kept alive on a questionable pass interference penalty on UCLA-bound receiver Cory Harkey on fourth down.
