Ayala is back into its offensive doldrums, but still only trails, 10-6, heading into the fourth quarter.

The Bulldogs did not get a first down in the third quarter and held the ball for only 2:42 of the
12-minute quarter. This is after the Bulldogs earned just one first down and had the ball for only nine minutes of the first half.

Ayala quarterback Matt Baca was one-for-five passing in the quarter and had a pass intercepted for the second time in the game.

I just overheard an assistant coach tell him, ‘You need to get your head up, you need to get your eyes up and quit looking at the ground.’

Baca is coming off a 300-yard passing performance against Glendora with five touchdowns.
