When Lakeside High opened in Lake Elsinore two years ago, I was surprised the student body voted for green and gold as the school colors. The city is already known for producing lots of green, and it’s not the type you get from an ATM.

I’m not sure what color ‘used baby diapers, animal droppings and other contaminants’ combine to make, but let’s just hope it’s not gold.

That said, the city probably picked the wrong time to open the Lake Elsinore Tourism Bureau, but at least they can point visitors in the direction of Lakeside, which currently has the longest league winning streak in school history -- one game.
