Some Orange County things that were worth watching over the weekend:
- Esperanza gained 419 yards -- all rushing -- and defender Nick Benvenuto knocked down a pass in the end zone as time expired in a 30-24 Sunset League victory over Los Alamitos. One of the county’s great rivalries goes down to the wire … again.
- Johnny McEntee of Servite was 12 of 12 for 155 yards with two touchdowns, and he also rushed for a score in the Friars’ 31-13 Trinity League victory over St. John Bosco. That, and Mater Dei loses. Talk about a perfect day for Friars fans.
