Cypress, which was Orange County’s top-ranked team, still has a chance to win the Southern California Regional next week after finishing fourth at the Southern Section team finals Monday at Dove Canyon. Cerritos won the event.

Newport Harbor had a pretty good year in girls’ golf, and had a chance to prove itself in the Southern Section team finals for the first time this decade. Especially impressive this season has been the growth of sophomore Tiffany Kim.
