Offers keep coming in for Wood

It seems the big boys are starting to notice Santa Clara RB Cierre Wood‘s immense talents. A couple of weeks after receiving a scholarship offer from USC, Santa Clara AD Mike Schabert told Rivals.com on Tuesday that Wood has received an offer from Notre Dame.

The 6-foot, 195-pound RB also has offers from Florida and Nebraska. Heading into Friday’s regular-season finale against Villanova Prep, Wood has rushed for 1,470 yards and 20 TDs.

Wood had a phenomenal performance against Frontier League rival Bishop Diego two weeks ago, munching up 377 yards in a 42-41 victory. He’s also one of the Saints’ best defensive players with 37 tackles and three interceptions.

The Saints can clinch the league title outright with a victory Friday.
