Carson leads Banning at halftime, 7-0

Before kickoff, I asked one Banning coach what the Pilots had to do to beat Carson.

‘I think we need to score in every quarter,’ the coach said. ‘And if they can run the ball on us, it will be a long night.’

So far Banning is 0-for-the-first half. The Pilots’ deepest drive stalled at the Carson 25, and they missed a 43-yard field goal try in the second quarter.

The Colts lead, 7-0, thanks to a 40-yard touchdown pass from Dominique Blackman to Keenan Smith.
