Oaks Christian has developed into a football factory, of sorts, in recent years, sending numerous athletes to Division I programs all over the country with regularity. One of the bigger names, with one of the bigger frames, to emerge as a prospect this season is Trace Biskin. Like his predecessors, he’ll be playing on Saturdays next fall.

There’s no doubt that recruiters were drawn to his size. Notre Dame, Purdue and USC expressed interest in Biskin, but the 6-foot-6, 275 pound senior offensive lineman committed to Arizona. That’s right, he’s 6-6, 275, and still growing. Dude is a behemoth.

For those without plans Friday night, you might want to go and check out Biskin destroy whoever, or whatever, Santa Paula puts in front of him in what is shaping up to be an important Tri-Valley League game. The Lions are tied with Oak Park and Nordhoff for first place and a victory would clinch at least a share of the league title.

Jimmy Clausen and Marc Tyler were the marquee names for Oaks Christian a season ago and I can’t imagine anyone forgetting about those two high-profile recruits anytime soon. However, it appears as if Biskin will leave behind his own legacy. A legacy, that in time, could end up growing bigger and bigger.
